Each of these is genuinely good at what it does. Here is what they are best at, and where we differ — which is usually that they solve one part of the problem and we solve the shape of it.
Team chat and calls, HR, clock-in/out, rostering, Fair Work award pay and workforce insight — in a single app your team actually opens every day. Not chat here, a time-clock there, and a monitoring tool no one likes.
Built and hosted in Australia (Sydney), aligned to the Australian Privacy Principles, with a Fair Work award-interpretation engine baked in. Your data — and your compliance — stay onshore.
Workforce visibility is one transparent, disclosed, Fair-Work-conscious layer — with a per-person off switch and Right-to-Disconnect built in. It supports the team; it isn’t the whole product.
Ask your AI assistant who’s on shift, what’s outstanding, or today’s attendance — through MyAndGo’s single connector. Calm, useful, and only the tools you choose to expose.

The benchmark for team chat — polished, fast, with a huge app ecosystem. If all you need is messaging, Slack is excellent.
Unbeatable if you live inside Microsoft 365 — deep Office, calendar and enterprise-IT integration.
A focused, mature employee-monitoring and productivity-analytics tool. If pure monitoring is all you want, it does that job well.
Most comparisons start from the product. It is more useful to start from what is going wrong, because the same business can need any of these depending on the answer.
Email threads, three group chats and a noticeboard. That is a chat problem, and Slack solves it beautifully. You do not need a workforce platform to fix it — you need one place people talk. Only look further if the scatter also includes rosters, leave and timesheets.
This is where businesses reach for monitoring, and where the choice matters most. A monitoring-only tool answers the question and creates a second one: your team now has software installed on them that gives them nothing back. Worth asking whether the real need is visibility, or whether it is that rosters, attendance and output are not connected to each other.
Timesheets in a spreadsheet, penalty rates worked out by hand, and a quiet worry that an award is being applied wrongly. Nothing in the chat or monitoring category touches this. It is the expensive problem, because getting it wrong compounds every pay run and is recoverable only backwards.
Chat, rostering, HR and monitoring bought separately, none of them sharing a staff list, each one needing a person added and removed. This is the case WorkAndGo is built for, and if it does not describe you, one of the others is probably the better buy.
It depends entirely on whether you run shifts. A desk-based team of ten that needs chat should buy chat. A team of ten who clock on, work a roster and get paid under an award needs rostering and award interpretation far more than it needs better threading, and that is a different category of product.
No. Monitoring is a Professional feature, off by default and enabled per person rather than per workforce. The free and Starter plans do not include it at all. Plenty of businesses run the chat, HR and rostering and never switch it on.
Everything your organisation stores stays in Sydney (australia-southeast1): messages, files, HR records, timesheets and screenshots, with backups in the same region. The AI assistant also runs in Sydney rather than sending your team’s conversations offshore for processing. Some service providers we use to deliver the product — email and SMS delivery, for example — operate overseas, which is set out in our privacy policy.
Personal is free for up to 25 people and includes chat, tasks, calendar, clock-in/out and leave. Starter is $9 per person per month and adds rostering, Fair Work award interpretation and payroll export. Professional is $16 and adds monitoring, productivity analytics and compliance. Prices exclude GST and are charged per person from the first person — there is no minimum and no seat block to buy up front.
That is the point of it — chat, HR, rostering, award interpretation and workforce insight in one product with one staff list. Whether that is worth switching for depends on how many of them you currently pay for and how well they talk to each other.
